Tomorrow night at the Fables Club in Tatamagouche, three of us are making our favorite soups for 35 guests. Three Soup Night is a co-sponsored event between Fables and Slow Food “North Shore”.

I will making Caldo Verde or as most people refer to it, Lisboa Soup. An everyday soup from Portugal. This light melange of chicken stock, potato, olive oil and kale is not only a staple food but it also a taste to remember. Attached is a Lady on her way to the Lagos market in Portugal, circa 2004.
